The Boys' Barracks and Mess Facility
The great majority of young males sent to this school are here because they have been spoiled rotten by their parents, who have always had enough money to buy whatever they wanted for themselves and their precious progeny. The boys have never had to ask twice for luxury goods, regardless of how atrocious their behavior may have been. Thus the boys came to the conclusion that delayed gratification is a character flaw, to be avoided at all costs.
It is our job to break them of this misconception.
While their rooms at home may be filled with computers used to surf porn and music systems emitting rap music that inspired the boys to aspire to be ridiculous suburban gangstas, their rooms at the school stand in stark contrast. As you can see from the picture, the Barracks consist of two round towers joined by a central stairwell. Behind each stairwell is the floor's bathroom.
Each floor of a building makes up what we call a "pod". The living space is divided into concrete block cells that face inwards toward the center of each floor. There the house mother sits, observing the boys from her swivel chair at the console. Cots and desks are permanently fixed into position, with video cameras able to view activity in a room from the central console. The house mother for each pod is able to ascertain at a glance that each boy is doing what he is required to, or should he finiah that, what he is permitted to. Generally speaking, the academic work load necessary to bring the boys up to grade level is so great that there is little or no time left to be wasted after completing homework, required service to females, and work detail.
Boys who need to leave the room, at any time and for whatever reason, even just to use the bathroom, will swipe their electronic ID card at the console upon receiving permission, then again as they pass through each doorway. Therefore, their whereabouts are recorded and saved for regular review.
This is what we call Level 2 Supervision, where all boys begin their stay at the Gold Star Academy of Discipline.
As boys adapt to their circumstances, there is often a period of rebellion until they acquire the feeling of helplessness that preceeds true submission. Should a boy be caught breaking one of the rules, he is immediately escorted with his possessions to the lowermost level, also known as The Dungeon. Cells are smaller in The Dungeon, which allows for central Public Punishment Spaces. These are set up with a number of restraining devices for ease of immobilization of the miscreant. Punishment is swift, and all boys are required to watch, even if it means they are waked from their mattressless cots in order to be present. We have found that peer pressure from boys who are tired of losing sleep to watch punishments is a major factor in helping boys choose to correct their behavior to return to Level 2 Supervision. Boys will struggle against their baser natures to glimpse the least tokens of approval when things appear most bleak to them.
When boys learn to follow the rules and exhibit appropriate behavior on a regular basis, they will be promoted to Level 1 Supervision. The major difference between Level 2 Supervision and Level 1 Supervision is that the boys are assigned less-supervised work detail, such as being on call for errands as needed in Hotel Residences, rather than in a work crew.
A few boys understand their calling to be submissives even before arriving at the school. Should a boy do so well that he clearly needs little supervision, we do have an apprentice program where qualifying boys will live in the slave quarters among the slaves. It is our goal to have all boys at that point by the end of their stay at the Academy.
The first floor of the higher tower contains the Mess area of the Boys' Barracks. Food is prepared in the kitchen of the Women's Dining Hall and delivered at mealtime. The menu is healthful, if not varied, consisting of meat seafood, poultry, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and whole grains. All foods are prepared from natural ingredients. There are few treats, and no junk food. It does take some getting used to for the boys, many of whom live in homes where junk food and preprocessed snacks make up the entirety of their diet. By the end of their stay, they are accustomed to eating this way, and appreciate how much healthier it has made them feel. Learning to cook basic whole foods is a required subject, and boys often choose to take advanced cooking techniques before they leave.
We offer many popular weekend and vacation workshops and seminars that are available to the general public. The fees paid by these extension students greatly offsets the tuition that parents may need to pay. There is a pod set aside for longterm adult students, but some of the more popular weekend seminars attract crowds, and it is necessary to make space for them in the living area. For these times, we have boys vacate their rooms and set up tents in the chain link fenced-in area behind the Barracks. We give them extra blankets in the winter. We find that after a day or two of living in the invigorating fresh air, their submissiveness rises noticeably. Adversity builds character.
