Directions from the Capital

Our school is located in the northwest region of the state, approximately 40 miles from the nearest town and two hours north of the Capital. Being that far from civilization makes it possible for us to control exposure to distracting elements, such as video and audio entertainment, other young males who are not with the program, and similar time and energy-wasting temptations.

At any time of the year you should find the drive to our school relaxing, scenic, and enjoyable.

Pick up the Interstate as you head north from the Capital on the historic Death Trek Route. Should you have arrived by plane, you will need to rent a car at the airport and exit through the main entrance. Go straight on the divided highway for about 2 miles, then follow the "Northbound" signs onto the Interstate.

By the time you have gone 30 miles, the landscape will have changed significantly. You will be passing through a wooded, mountainous area with no further settlements on the main road. This is a bit deceptive, as there are towns just a few miles from your travel route. If you need to make stops on the way back, we can recommend where to get gas or food. It is better not to stop on the way, as we prefer the boys to be under the impression that the entire area is unpopulated.

roadsign

Take Exit 52 westbound. It is best to make a note of your odometer at this point if you do not have one you can set. 66 miles from this point there is an unmarked fork in the road. You will recognize it by a six foot boulder between the two roads. Take the right hand side of the fork. It will immediately become a dirt road. Don't worry, the road is well-kept. Continue for three miles, at which point you will see a clearing ahead. The twelve foot barbed wire-topped perimeter walls will loom up at you ahead. Just follow the road to the gate, which is open during daylight hours and by appointment. If you arrive late, you should blow your car's horn. One of our on-call slaves will open the gate for you to enter.
