How do we teach our boys obedience?
Unfortunately, the vast majority of young males are sent here for what would be called "disobedience". Regardless of anything else, they have failed to follow orders. Most certainly they had many people telling them what they needed to do, but their hormones were telling them, against all reason and logic, that they were destined to be alpha males, and need listen to no one and nothing but their inner compass. Hah!
Our research shows that learning obedience is, like many things, a matter of incremental learning. In other words, it is a slippery slope, and each slip down carries a male deeper and more irreversibly downward into that spiral.
We have found that each level of obedience requires a different sort of training, and we have narrowed it down to those two basic levels, both of which make up a part of what we call Male Obedience Training:
- Animal training, where a male will respond instantly and reflexively to a number of arbitrary programmed commands. We start this training immediately upon the arrival of a new male. A missed meal and a handful of small tasty snacks will jumpstart the first training session. Learning commands like this can help a male begin focusing on his training, as he starts to feel a success that was previously denied to him and receives immediate feedback and reward.
- Human training, where the young male learns to respond unquestioningly to more complex commands given with a concrete purpose. This training will ready him to move into more complex forms of service and servitude.
Backsliding cannot be tolerated, and will result in a cycle of training with more emphasis on punishment than reward.
