Carrie Prejean: the saga continues

You remember when Carrie Prejean, the Miss California beauty queen who got into a bit of trouble after speaking out in favor of “opposite marriage” and saying that she was raised to be opposed to gay marriage?

And Donald Trump came out in favor of her keeping her post as Miss California after using the pageant as a platform for spouting her radical fundamentalist views, but then let the pageant dismiss her when it turns out she was not keeping up with her schedule of nicey-nicey fluff PR appearances, which is after all what these pageants are about.

By then, the nude photos, the story about her mother and father both having homosexual relationships before their breakup…

She had dated Michael Phelps, whew!

She tried to be a guest host on a right wing talk show, but she was incoherent and sounded really stupid.

I can’t remember now who sued who first. Maybe she sued them for stripping her of her title, and they responded by suing her for the cost of the boob implants that they had paid for to boost her confidence.

Then there was a settlement. It turns out that she walked away with nothing after they told her they had a copy of the home sex tape she had starred in. Well, well.

Vitter has apparently served as a “consultant” to the pimp-madam pair who were trying to entrap ACORN for Fox News Entertainment, because of his “special knowledge”. He’s also an expert on “family values”, note the quotes.

What’s up with Niteflirt

Does anybody read this blog?

Hopefully it gets read more often than it gets written in.

Anyway, Niteflirt is in the process of doing a massive site upgrade. In fact, it’s not really an upgrade. It’s more like it’s being redone from scratch. So if you visit the site when it’s done, it should look about the same, though the underlying code will be completely different. If you’re wondering right now where it went, especially if you’ve got the Firefox bug that’s been giving you a “Bad request” page or “Connection reset by server” page for the past few days, it’s still under construction.

I’m still getting that Firefox message when I hit www.niteflirt.com, even though other browsers show a “we’ll be back soon” page.

Eventually the site should be not only able to handle everything it did before, but more. Things will be changing with customer service, I hope you weren’t attached to that.

My suspicion is that this has to do with some deadline they were given to stop using the existing platform as a result of that breakup that came almost 2 years ago.

This is absolutely hilarious. A woman who hated her high school hired a stripper to impersonate her at her 10th reunion, then made a movie about it. Due to the need to get permission from everyone in it, it will probably never be released. But the trailer is absolutely a hoot!
